Applesauce brownies

I wanted to recreate a version of a Dairy Queen sundae.With all of this, I got to try two different ice creams and have a brownie. How is that for having the cake and eating it too?

For wet ingredients

  • 57 g enjoy life chocolate chunks
  • .5 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 t vanilla
  • .5 cup applesauce
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 whisked eggs

For the dry ingredients

  • 3/4 cup self-rising flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 t baking soda
  • extra chips for mixing or topping
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Grease pan of your choice. I used these adorable silicone loafs
  3. Melt chocolate chips and butter in a sauce pan over low stirring constantly
  4. Remove from heat and add vanilla, applesauce, and sugar
  5. Stir in whisked egg
  6. Add dry ingredients and mix
  7. Pour mix into mold
  8. Top with fresh chips before baking
  9. Bake for 12 minutes!
